ছিনতাইকারীর গাড়ির চাকায় প্রাণ গেল নারীর ছিনতাইকারীর গাড়ির চাকায় পিষ্ট হয়ে নিহত হয়েছেন একটি বেসরকারি হাসপাতালের নারী কর্মী হেলেনা বেগম। ব্যক্তিগত গাড়ি থেকে ছিনতাইকারীরা হাতের ব্যাগ ধরে টান দিয়ে নিয়ে যাওয়ার সময় ওই গাড়িতেই পিষ্ট হন তিনি।  আজ শুক্রবার ভোরে ধানমন্ডি ৭ নম্বর সড়কে এ ঘটনা ঘটে। নিহত হেলেনা বেগম গ্রিন লাইফ মেডিকেল কলেজ ও হাসপাতালের আয়া ছিলেন। তাঁর লাশ ঢাকা মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালের মর্গে রয়েছে। নিহত নারীর স্বামী মনিরুল ইসলাম হাসপাতালে সাংবাদিকদের জানান, হেলেনা বেগম তাঁর সঙ্গেই বরিশাল থেকে লঞ্চে করে ভোরে ঢাকা পৌঁছান। ধানমন্ডি ৭ নম্বরে বাস থেকে নেমে সড়ক পার হতে গেলে সাদা রঙের একটি ব্যক্তিগত গাড়ি থেকে দুর্বৃত্তরা হেলেনার হাতের ব্যাগ ধরে টান দেয়। এতে হেলেনা গাড়ির সঙ্গে ধাক্কা খেয়ে পড়ে যান। ছিনতাইকারীরা তাঁর ওপর দিয়েই গাড়ি চালিয়ে দেয়। এতে ঘটনাস্থলেই তাঁর মৃত্যু হয়। পুলিশের রমনা বিভাগের উপকমিশনার মারুফ হোসেন সরদার প্রথম আলোকে বলেন, ‘আশপাশের সিসিটিভি ক্যামেরার ফুটেজ দেখে গাড়ি ও ছিনতাইকারীদের শনাক্ত করার কাজ চলছে।’
